He received both his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Master of Science in Applied Economics degrees from the University of Santa Clara, California, USA. He worked for USAID\u00a0\/Mali as a Chief Accountant where his duties included the supervision of the budget and the accounting branch as well as the follow-up on loan repayments. He worked as an Internal Auditor at West Africa Rice Development Association (WARDA\/ADRAO), in Liberia and Cote D\u2019Ivoire. As Team Leader for Benin\u2019s Clef II (the reform of Education of Benin), Mr. Camara provided technical advice to USAID and the Ministry of Education of Benin on specific financial management issues affecting Clef. He also worked as a Financial Management Expert for The Mitchell Group on the USAID-funded Rwanda Raising Rural Incomes and Improving Livelihoods Project. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing and installing financial management and accounting procedures for grant funds and developing a manual for monitoring and tracking grant funds to ensure compliance with USAID\u2019s procedures. He has been working since January 2005 with the Mali Service Center (MSC) in various capacities to provide efficient administrative and financial services to support the research activities financed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and other institutions. He was appointed as Director of MSC in 2012.
