Dr Laure Juompan is the International Health program Manager at NIH/NIAID where she oversees the scientific program in Mali.
Before joining NIH/NIAID in 2015, she was a biologist at the Center for Biologics Evaluations and Research (CBER) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As a regulator, she contributed to the release of products regulated by CBER and developed FDA’s Guidance to enhance the safety of the Nation’s blood supply.
Her previous experience in public or private institutions aimed at improving public health through clinical research and vaccine development.
Dr Laure earned her PhD from the University of Toulouse, France in 1993 and worked at the Pasteur Institute in Paris from 1996 to 1997. Then, at Yerkes Primate Research Center at Emory University in Atlanta from 1997 to 1999.
