Boubacar TRAORE
PhD in Parasitology and Pharmacology
Dean of the School of Pharmacy (FAPH) at the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB).
After his PhD in Pharmacy at the National School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Mali in 1989, Boubacar Traoré obtained his Inter-university Diploma of Specialization in Medical Biology at the University René Descartes, Paris V in 1994. He also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Biology and another Master’s degree in Pharmacology obtained respectively in 1995 from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI and the University Paris VII in France.
In 1996, he subsequently obtained a PhD in Public Health with a concentration on pharmacology at the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI.
Armed with his PhD in Parasitology from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI since 1999, Prof. Boubacar Traoré has been, for the last eight years, Dean of the School of Pharmacy at USTTB. He has held several positions including that of Vice-Dean. He is also a Professor of parasitology in the same school.
He was seconded to several foreign teaching hospitals and was teacher in several foreign universities. He is the Scientific Director of “LIG and malaria and pregnancy unit” at ICER Mali. As a researcher, Prof. Traoré has taken part in and supervised several research studies in national and international settings.
He is author and co-author of several scientific publications in national and international scientific journals.
