His Excellency Dennis Hankins, Ambassador of the United States to Mali, was visiting the International Center of Excellence in Research: International Center for Excellence in Research (ICER- Mali). The objective of the visit was to inquire about the evolution of the activities of ICER-Mali, an international research center, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), of the American government, through the Malaria Research Center (MRTC) and the University Clinical Research Center (UCRC).
The visit, which lasted around 2 hours 30 minutes, involved: Data Center, the entomology laboratories, the SEREFO laboratory of UCRC, the laboratory for studies on drug resistance, the clinical research center of the Point G.
The visit was mainly led by the vice-rector of the USTTB, Prof. Ouaténi Diallo, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontostomatology (FMOS), Prof. Seydou Doumbia Director of UCRC, and the Resident Representative from NIH in Mali, Fatoumata Bathily. At the end of this visit, His Excellency Dennis Hankins was visibly comforted by the results, and left with a smile on his face.
